Golf Course Sand – Although the name is pretty self explanatory, this material can be used for a number of different applications. Typically found in bunkers and on greens at golf courses, this material is also often used in synthetic sports fields. Golf course sand when used on greens, helps break up thatch, a layer of organic material that builds up over time in the upper root zone, thus preventing spongy greens with brown spots which are vulnerable to scalping during mowing. The same methodology can be used for home lawn care enthusiasts.
